WHY ART DIRECTION MATTERS

From a clear brief to
a cohesive visual world.

An approved brief sets the direction. Art direction makes it visible and considers the brand strategy: what the audience needs to understand, what each visual should make them feel and how every image should express your brand identity. Casting, composition, setting, light, colour, character, pose, wardrobe and environment are directed across the entire pack. The result is a connected visual world, shaped with intention rather than a collection of images that happen to look good.

SELECTED WORK

Complex stories,
made visible.

Four very different briefs. Each one needed a visual world that could make a complex story clear, distinctive and useful across formats.

B2B INSURANCE

Hollard

THE CHALLENGE

Hollard launched a new insurance product offering complete coverage across six diverse sectors: farming, construction, SME, mining, marine, and fleet. Our challenge was to establish a consistent brand look while capturing every insurable asset from labor to logistics within a single image for each industry. We needed to visually connect the dots to prove one policy could protect everything from field workers to solar power in one cohesive view.

THE SOLUTION

Strong art direction ensured the images felt natural and plausible while allowing us to capture different angles to work across portrait, print, and wide digital formats. Through consistent grading, we united all six sectors under one realistic and seamless visual identity.

INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION

Novaweave

THE CHALLENGE

Show how a new conductive textile could support worker safety before the technology existed at scale.

THE SOLUTION

Material details and in use scenes turn the technical story into something investors and product partners can understand at a glance.

GLOBAL MOBILITY

Nash Group

THE CHALLENGE

A premium service spanning immigration, recruitment and employer of record support needed to feel like one connected campaign across markets.

THE SOLUTION

Motion blur carried the pace and complexity of global mobility while one person or interaction remained sharp, creating a consistent visual idea across every scene.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Nurture Vision

THE CHALLENGE

Launch three eye health products through four clear content pillars: the product, how it works, the ingredients and who it is for, without losing a cohesive brand world.

THE SOLUTION

Product, ingredient, audience and optometrist environment imagery were art directed as one connected system for social, brochures and the website.

THE EXECUTION CHALLENGE

When the images are
the difficult part.

01

Everything needs to feel like one brand.

Images made at different times or from different sources can lose the visual thread that holds a campaign together.

02

Stock feels too generic.

It may illustrate the category without showing what makes your brand or offer distinct.

03

The scene is difficult to capture.

The location may be remote or dangerous, or too many people, products and details need to come together in one frame.

04

The story is hard to show.

A service, emerging technology or future application may be difficult to explain through conventional photography.

05

A full shoot asks too much.

Multiple locations, casting, crews and lead times can put pressure on the budget and slow down a launch.

06

AI is not giving you the result you need.

You know what each image should show, but repeated prompting still misses the brief, the brand or the quality you need to publish.

THE PROCESS

Your direction is approved.
We take it into production.

  1. 01Brand & brief intake

You supply the approved brief, brand and photographic guidelines, shot list and available source material. Kepler audits what is ready and flags any gaps.

  2. 02Feasibility check

We confirm what can be produced credibly with AI and where photography, 3D or a hybrid approach would be stronger.

  3. 03Visual treatments

You review an aesthetic mood board within the approved brand to approve treatment for production.

  4. 04Production

Kepler builds, selects, composites and refines the image pack, maintaining consistency across every frame.

  5. 05Finish & delivery

Final images are retouched and supplied in the agreed formats after one consolidated refinement round.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions,
answered clearly.

Does this include brand strategy?

No. This is an execution offer for clients with approved brand and photographic guidelines, an approved brief and a clear shot list. If the positioning, message or visual direction still needs work, start with a Clarity Sprint or Brand Foundation.

Is this just AI generated images?

No. Think of AI as the production set and Kepler as the art director. We decide what to create, direct the visual treatment, select the strongest frames, composite details, retouch the work and hand grade the final pack.

Does this replace photography?

Not automatically. It is useful when the subject is early, inaccessible, unsafe or expensive to photograph. If photography, 3D or a hybrid approach is the better answer, we will say so during the feasibility check.

Can you show our real product accurately?

Good source material is essential. Exact packaging, equipment or technical details may need approved photography or 3D combined with AI. Your specialist signs off factual detail before delivery.

How many images are included?

The pack is scoped around the approved shot list. We agree the number of master images and required formats before booking, so the deliverables match the job rather than an arbitrary image count.

How long does it take?

A standard image pack is planned over 10 working days. Timing begins once the brand and photographic guidelines, approved brief, shot list and source material have been supplied.

Can agencies work with Kepler?

Yes. Kepler can work directly with your creative team or provide clearly scoped white label art direction and production support.
